Abstract
Introduction & Background: The Region 5 ARPA Public Health Workforce Development initiative aims to strengthen Public Health capabilities through targeted training and professional development opportunities.
Each county in Region 5, including Chatham, will contribute funding to support staff training and education through the Public Health Workforce Development facilitated by Guilford County, the regional lead, focusing on Public Health Foundational Capabilities.
Discussion & Analysis: Article 20 of Chapter 160A of the North Carolina General Statutes authorizes Chatham County (the “County”) to enter into undertakings with one or more other units of local government.
How does this relate to the Comprehensive Plan: Relates to Plan Goal #10: Foster a healthy community.
Budgetary Impact: Funding is already budgeted.
