Vote to reappoint Eri Kim to the Board of Health as a public member effective January 23, 2026
Abstract
The Chatham County Board of Health is the policymaking, rule-making, and adjudicatory body for the Chatham County Public Health Department.
According to General Statute 130-A-35, the composition of the Board shall reasonably reflect the population makeup of the county and be composed of eleven (11) members: one physician licensed to practice medicine in this State, one licensed dentist, one licensed optometrist, one licensed veterinarian, one registered nurse, one licensed pharmacist, one county commissioner, one professional engineer, and three (3) representatives of the general public.
Discussion & Analysis: Board members may serve up to three (3) consecutive, three (3) year terms. Eri Kim is currently serving the remainder of an unexpired term. The Board of Health recommends Eri Kim be reappointed to her seat on the Board of Health, which will count as her first term.
How does this relate to the Comprehensive Plan: N/A
Budgetary Impact: Board of Health members are provided mileage to and from meetings and a meal. Adequate funds are budgeted annually in the Health Department Budget.
