Receive the Annual Report from the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee for the Calendar Year 2024

Abstract

Introduction & Background: Advisory Committees are required to submit annual reports to the Board of Commissioners on their work and progress. Committee leadership, county staff, and Central Pines Regional Council (CPRC) staff collaborated on this report, which was approved at the February 6^th meeting of the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee (AHAC).

Discussion & Analysis: A written report and slide presentation are attached for review by commissioners, largely containing the same information.

How does this relate to the Comprehensive Plan: AHAC primarily advances the following goals through their activities:

•                     Goal 3: Promote a compact growth pattern by developing in and near existing towns, communities, and in designated, well planned, walkable, mixed-use centers.

•                     Goal 9: Provide equitable access to high-quality education, housing and community options for all.
