Vote to approve appointment of Stephanie Terry to the Chatham Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors
Abstract
Introduction & Background: The Chatham Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors requests the Chatham County Board of Commissioners appoint Stephanie Terry to fill a vacant seat. The EDC Nominations Committee received 16 applicants and interviewed 8 of those candidates for four vacancies. Ms. Terry was unanimously picked by the EDC Board to fill the Board of Commissioner appointed vacancy.
Discussion & Analysis: Stephanie Terry is a Chatham County Resident who lives in Bear Creek. She has shown herself to be a citizen that is involved in volunteer boards to help our community and understands the value of Chatham County and also the importance of diversity. She is the founder and Executive Director of Webb Squared, an organization whose mission is to recognize and address the racial wealth gap by providing a supportive ecosystem around Black and Brown people of North Carolina.
