Vote to approve amendment #1 to the Southern Health Partners contract for the Sheriff’s Office Detention Center
Abstract
Introduction & Background: For fiscal year 2025, the SHP contract was amended to add a night nurse, which would provide medical coverage at the detention center after hours. This night nurse would limit the need for medical transports, thus providing long term savings in the detention center budget.
Discussion & Analysis: Approval of this contract amendment would allow the Sheriff’s Office to properly staff the jail with both a day and night nurse currently and in subsequent years.

Budgetary Impact: None. Funds already budgeted via budget ordinance
