Introduction & Background: The North Carolina Association of County Commissioners asks all 100 counties to submit legislative goals ahead of the 2027-2028 Biennium.
Discussion & Analysis: The North Carolina Association of County Commissioners’ legislative goals process is an opportunity to learn about common challenges facing North Carolina counties and prioritize advocacy efforts with the NC General Assembly.
How does this relate to the Comprehensive Plan: The submission of legislative goals to the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners supports implementation of the Chatham County Comprehensive Plan by advancing policy priorities at the state level that help the County achieve its long-term vision and strategic objectives.
