Action Requested: Vote on a request to approve $445.00 Family Panning State Funds Reduction
Introduction & Background: On August 27,2018, the US Department of Health and Human Services, Public Health Service Notice of Award, P.L. 91-572 PHS Act Sec. 1001 as Amended, 42CFR 59, authorized the awarding of Title X funds to the North Carolina Statewide Family Planning Program for FY 18-19. The Notice of Award stipulated the Budget Period for Title X funding had been reduced from twelve months to nine months; thereby reducing the amount of awarded funding.
Discussion & Analysis: This Agreement Addendum revision #1 reduces, by less than 1% the funding for this Activity due to the Title X funding budget period reduction by the US Department of Health and Human Services, Public Health Service. This reduction in funding will be absorbed through the Health Department’s contracted services line item in the department’s budget.
