Vote to adopt a resolution to convey voting booths to Craven County and Franklin County.

 

Abstract

Introduction & Background: Per G.S. 160A-274, the county is authorized to convey property other governments in North Carolina.

                     

Discussion & Analysis: Elections disposed of 130 voting booths in 2021.  Elections had hoped to find other governments that might be able to use these.  The department recently reached out again to other governments to see if there was a need for the voting booths.  Elections received interest from Franklin County who will be able to use 50 voting booths and Craven County who will use 80 voting booths.
