Title

Receive a presentation on the 2023 Chatham County Resident Satisfaction Survey

Abstract

Introduction & Background:

Every two years, Chatham County conducts a resident satisfaction survey. It is a random phone survey of Chatham County residents over the course of several months. It consists of core questions and related sub-questions regarding satisfaction about Chatham County as a place to live and work, ways people get information on county government, and feedback on services and how well staff provided them. Participants are also asked open-ended questions to get more detail where low marks were given and to gain insight on the most pressing or challenging issues facing Chatham County.

Discussion & Analysis:

The 2023 results were exceptionally positive, resulting in an overall grade of B+. The mean was a 3.45, which is the County’s highest mean to date. In 2021, the overall mean was 3.33. More than 80% of the grades were B+ or better. No grades were below a B-.
