Abstract
Introduction & Background: The 2024 Chatham County Community Assessment provides a comprehensive overview of the health and well-being of Chatham County residents. Conducted every three years, the assessment is a collaborative effort between the Chatham County Public Health Department, UNC Health Chatham, the Chatham Health Alliance and several local community partners. This report was compiled using community surveys, focus groups, and secondary data.
Discussion & Analysis: The assessment provides an in-depth look at the data and broader factors that influence health in Chatham County. It covers key health topics such as substance use, infectious diseases, mental health, and food access, identifying both challenges and opportunities for community action. The priority areas outlined in the report will guide future collaborative efforts to improve health and quality of life for Chatham County residents.
