Action Requested: Vote on a request to accept $6,437.11 NACCHO Retail Program Standards Mentorship Program Funds.
Introduction & Background: Chatham County Public Health Department Environmental Health was selected to participate as a mentor local health department in the NACCHO Retail Food Program Standards Mentorship Program. This community collaboration program is focused on building capacity for integrating the Program Standards at local health departments.
Discussion & Analysis: As part of the funding Environmental Health was able to send two staff members to the national Environmental Health Association conference, send four staff members to HACCP for Food Safety manager’s Certification Course, and purchase other outreach materials including safe food handling stickers for restaurants and employee health posters.
Budgetary Impact: No local funding requested.
