Title

Vote to accept $7,885 in additional CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Program funds to be spent on costs related to transitioning electronic medical records systems

Abstract

Introduction & Background: As part of the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021 (P.L. 116-260) and the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (P.L. 117-2), North Carolina received supplemental funding to assist the local health departments with COVID vaccine activities to support broad-based distribution, access, and vaccine coverage. This funding can support a variety of projects related to vaccinations, including costs related to electronic medical records (EMR) system, COVID vaccine administration, and education.

Discussion & Analysis: The Chatham County Public Health Department requested and received additional funding this year, which will go towards costs related to transitioning EMR systems.

How does this relate to the Comprehensive Plan: Plan Goal #10: Foster a healthy community.

Budgetary Impact: No Local Funding Requested.

Recommendation: Motion to accept $7,885 in additional CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Program funds to be spent on costs related to transitioning electronic medical records systems.
