Vote on a request to approve the 2018-2024 Capital Improvements Plan

The County Manager presented the Recommended 2018-2024 Capital Improvements Plan on November 14, 2016. A public hearing was held on November 21, and commissioners discussed the Recommended CIP at a work session on November 22, 2016.
No changes were made to the Recommended 2018-2024 CIP; however, the board asked staff to retain the services of an consultant to look at the Annex/Ag/Dunlap campus and develop alternatives for how the campus could be developed and how the space needs of the departments currently housed on the campus could be addressed. Funds will continue to be set aside for the Ag Building and Annex renovations, but these funds could be redirected in the future if another option is chosen.
The board has taken no action on requiring that new buildings be LEED certified, but will hold a work session on this issue early in 2017.
Staff is requesting adoption of the 2018-2024 Capital Improvements Plan.
