Abstract
Approve a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) for the installation of cabling required for a courtroom audio visual system (aka CRAVE) to be used to aid in Chatham County remote court proceedings and authorize the County Manager to execute the MOA.

Introduction & Background: North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) is funding a project to install courtroom audio visual systems in all participating counties' statewide. The project is being administered by the AOC utilizing a subcontractor, ePlus, who was awarded the contract through a competitive bidding process. Chatham Counties' responsibility for the project is to provide the cabling and electrical components in each qualifying courtroom required to run the audio visual systems (aka CRAVE).
Discussion & Analysis: The AOC initially desired to fund one of these systems in each county, but expanded the program to include two systems per county, if desired. Chatham County desires to utilize the cabling subcontractor chosen by ePlus to install the required cabling in two separate courtrooms in the county. One courtroom has been designated in the Chatham County Justice Center and the other will be installed at the Siler City Court Annex.
Chatham County MIS requested quotes from a third party contractor, as was our option, but is recommending using AOC's contractor due to comparable costs and their familiarity with the requirements of the CRAVE systems.
