Abstract
Introduction & Background: Chatham County IT currently utilizes the Arctic Wolf Platform to provide automated, around-the-clock threat detection and response. This platform enables the County to maintain a high standard of cybersecurity through scalable solutions and expert guidance. The IT Department recommends renewing the subscription to Arctic Wolf services for an additional one (1) year period.
Discussion & Analysis: The Arctic Wolf services include:
• Managed Detection & Response (MDR): 24x7x365 active monitoring that helps Chatham County identify and respond to cyber threats in real time.
• Dedicated Concierge Security Team: A named Arctic Wolf Concierge Security Team, specifically assigned to Chatham County, provides ongoing strategic security advice based on a thorough and current understanding of our unique IT environment. This partnership ensures the County is consistently proactive in strengthening its cybersecurity posture.
How does this relate to the Comprehensive Plan: Continued use of Arctic Wolf directly supports Chatham County's commitment to resiliency as outlined in Plan Chatham’s Goal Eight. This service enhances our ability to mitigate, respond to, and adapt to evolving cyber threats, thereby safeguarding County operations and data.
