Abstract

Introduction & Background: The Clean Water Education Partnership is a cooperative effort between local governments and state agencies to protect water quality in the Tar-Pamlico, Neuse, and Cape Fear River Basins.

                     

Discussion & Analysis: Chatham County has collaborated with Clean Water Education Partnership, along with surrounding counties and municipalities to fulfill the outreach and education requirement of the Jordan Lake Rules 15A NCAC 02B .0266 3(a) for nutrient reduction from stormwater runoff. This contract represents the collaboration.

Budgetary Impact: $4,790 per year
