Title

Update for the Chatham County Early Childhood Community Assessment and Action Plan

Abstract

The Chatham County Early Childhood Community Assessment & Action Plan is a project of the Chatham County Partnership for Children, funded 25% by Smart Start, 25% by the Chatham Education Foundation, and 50% by Chatham County.  The Partnership has conducted a cross-sector, multimedia Early Childhood Community Assessment, in collaboration with the community and a team of consultants including Partners for Impact, Community Voice Method Consulting, and Hilary Pollan Facilitation.  The assessment's results -- including a film featuring Chatham parents, caregivers, and childcare providers --will be shared with the public at four upcoming Community Conversations across Chatham County. Preliminary results and the film trailer will be shared during this presentation. At the community conversations, Chatham residents will have the opportunity to interpret the results of the Community Needs Assessment and define strategic priorities for the Chatham County Early Childhood Action Plan to be completed later this Fall & Winter.
