Abstract
Action Requested: Vote on a request to accept $2.686 TANF Out-of-Wedlock Birth Prevention Funds.
Introduction & Background: This Agreement Addendum Revision #2 reduces by approximately 9% - 21% the funding for this Activity due to reduction in the Maternal and Child Health Block grant, increases the unmatched state funds to offset a portion of the federal reduction, and adds the TANF Out-of-Wedlock Birth Prevention funding, awarded through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families (ACF).
Discussion & Analysis: The Health Department will provide Non-Medicaid Service Deliverables in FY16 that meet or exceed the total dollar value of all services budgeted. Health Information System (HIS) service data as of August 31, 2016 will provide documentation.
Provide and/or assure low income patients in North Carolina access to Family Planning services in accordance with all the requirements established in the original Agreement Addendum.
Use these TANF Out-of-Wedlock Birth Prevention Funds to support activities during the Service Period December 1, 2015 through May 31, 2016, and provide details about how the funds are to be allocated on the attached Attachment C.
Budgetary Impact: No Local Funding Requested.
