Abstract

Introduction & Background: This is a request to approve the resolution for the addition of 0.031 miles Catullo Run (portion from Briar Chapel to Deardom Way), 0.313 miles Deardom Way, 0.075 miles Balfour Way, in the Briar Chapel Subdivision.

How does this relate to the Comprehensive Plan: The Chatham County Comprehensive Plan calls for a thoughtful, diverse, and resilient roadway system to serve the county. In the state of North Carolina, the transportation planning process is heavily dependent upon the State of North Carolina’s Department of Transportation for guidance, maintenance of county roads, and long-range transportation plans. Cooperating and continuing a positive relationship with North Carolina Department of Transportation is crucial to the future development of Chatham County’s Road system.
