Vote to adopt the Project Ordinance for the Chatham County Northwest District Park Dam (Camp Maranatha Lake Dam).
Abstract
Introduction & Background: NC Department of Environmental Quality completed an inspection of the dam on January 13, 2022 and provided a letter that documented the presence of trees and bushes on the upstream and downstream slopes including other deficiencies. The inspection made recommendations that ground cover be improved and maintained to prevent future erosion along the embankment.
Discussion & Analysis: Frees and Nichols was contracted to provide professional services to address the deficiencies for the Northwest District Park Dam (Camp Maranatha Lake Dam).
How does this relate to the Comprehensive Plan: N/A
Budgetary Impact: Phase 1 of this project in the amount of $100,000 was included in the FY2024 Budget.
