Vote to reappoint Ashley Pappas, PharmD, MHA, to fill a second (2nd) term on the Board of Health as a pharmacist member, effective July 1, 2024, with a term expiring on June 30, 2027

 

Abstract

Introduction & Background: The Chatham County Board of Health is the policy making, rule-making, and adjudicatory body for the Chatham County Public Health Department.

 

According to General Statute 130-A-35, the composition of the Board shall reasonably reflect the population makeup of the county and be composed of eleven (11) members: one physician licensed to practice medicine in this State, one licensed dentist, one licensed optometrist, one licensed veterinarian, one registered nurse, one licensed pharmacist, one county commissioner, one professional engineer, and three (3) representatives of general public.

                     

Discussion & Analysis: Board members may serve up to three (3) consecutive three (3) year terms. The Board of Health recommends Ashley Pappas, PharmD, MHA to serve a second (2nd) term on the Board of Health as a pharmacist.

 

How does this relate to the Comprehensive Plan: N/A

 

Budgetary Impact: Board of Health members are provided mileage to and from meetings and a meal. Adequate funds are budgeted annually in the Health Department Budget.

 

Recommendation/Motion: Motion to reappoint Ashley Pappas, PharmD, MHA, to fill a second (2nd) term on the Board of Health as a pharmacist member, effective July 1, 2024, with a term expiring on June 30, 2027.
