Abstract
Introduction & Background: Chatham County IT has evaluated several different security products and platforms to find the best solution for our organization. We focused on products that provide monitoring and response since Chatham County doesn't have an IT security analyst position.
Discussion & Analysis:
The Arctic Wolf Platform delivers automated threat detection and response at scale. It will empower our organization to stand up a world-class security operation. The IT department proposes to subscribe to the following Arctic Wolf Services:
Managed Detection & Response (MDR):24x7x365 active threat monitoring helping the County identify & respond to attacks.
Managed Risk: Assisting the County with preventing attacks before they occur.
Incident Response (IR): Recover quickly from cyber-attacks and breaches.
All Arctic Wolf services are anchored by a named Concierge Security Team assigned to Chatham County. This team, with their unique understanding of our environment, will provide strategic security advice, ensuring we are always a step ahead in our security measures.
How does this relate to the Comprehensive Plan: This software helps Chatham County become more resilient by mitigating, responding, and adapting to emerging threats as identified in Plan Chatham goal eight.
Budgetary Impact: The cost of the service is $139,107.87. However, this service negates the need for two other software services.
