Action Requested: Vote on a request to purchase sports lighting for two athletic fields at Briar Chapel from Musco Sports Lighting through the NJPA cooperative purchasing contract in the total amount of $212,230
Introduction & Background: The athletic field lights will be installed on the two softball/baseball fields. The fields will be used by the recreation department youth and adult leagues, travel softball and baseball teams, the schools and general public. Most of the reservations are requested during the evenings therefore installing athletic lights on both of the fields are essential. The Musco sport lighting package is a good product because lights can be turned off remotely off site.

The NJPA solicited for bids for indoor-outdoor athletic surfacing with related equipment products, supplies, installation and services. An award was made to Musco Sports Lighting for athletic field/court and parking lot lighting systems, to include a turnkey installation of materials and installation cost.:

Recommendation: Motion to approve the request to purchase sports lighting for two athletic fields at Briar Chapel from Musco Sports Lighting through the NJPA cooperative purchasing contract for a total amount of $212,230 contingent on review and approval by the Planning Department.
