Vote to approve a competitive bid exemption and sole source for Priority Dispatch Corp. for emergency police dispatch (EPD) protocols and associated software and license fees for the 911 center

 

Abstract

Introduction & Background:  Priority Dispatch Corp. is our current call taking protocol vendor for medical and fire calls for service.  Adding additional protocols, such as, emergency police dispatch (EPD) must be with Priority Dispatch Corp.

                     

Discussion & Analysis:  The Emergency Communications Center (ECC) already uses the medical and fire protocols and is looking to implement the police protocols FY24.  The ECC is accredited with the medical and fire protocols.  These protocols ensure consistent call taking while adhering to national standards.
