Introduction and Background:
The North Carolina Center for Nonprofits selected the board, staff, and volunteers of the Carolina Tiger Rescue as one of three winners of the 2013 Nonprofit Sector Stewardship Awards. In recognition of this honor they received:
- An originally-designed plaque by Durham artist Galia Goodman
- A check for $500 to be used for professional development for the organization's staff and/or board for seminars, workshops, conferences, publications, consultatns, or other investments needed to keep the board and staff current and supported in their important work.
Recommendation:
Approve the letter of commendation for the Carolina Tiger Rescue for being selected as one of three winners of the 2013 Nonprofit Sector Stewardship Awards.
