Action Requested: Approve the request to adopt the Resolution Declaring Property Surplus Authorizing the Sale of Said Property
Introduction & Background:
The County must comply with statutory procedures when disposing of personal property. G.S. 160A-270 (public auction) requires the board to adopt a resolution authorizing an appropriate county official to dispose of the property at public auction. The resolution shall identify the property to be sold and set out the closing online date, place and terms of the sale.
Discussion & Analysis:
The County has several vehicles that have been removed from service and equipment surplus items. All additional items will be presented to County Manager Dan LaMontagne to add to the public auction.
