Title

Vote to adopt a resolution approving an interlocal agreement between Chatham County and the Town of Siler City to allow the Town to have an account on the County’s OpenGov software license.

 

Abstract

Introduction & Background:  The Town of Siler City has requested to utilize the software used by the County, specifically by the Development Services departments - Central Permitting, Watershed Protection, Environmental Health, and Planning & Zoning.  This software is also used by the Town of Pittsboro. It will allow the County and Municipalities to access the information on other related submittals and coordinate approvals for development.  Siler City agrees to reimburse the County for any additional costs related to their use.  

                     

Discussion & Analysis: The addition of Siler City enables citizens regardless of Jurisdiction within the County to apply for development permits through a common website.

 

How does this relate to the Comprehensive Plan: This proposed ordinance directly relates to Objective 7: Provide infrastructure to support desired development and support economic and environmental objectives.
