Action Requested: Hold the public hearing
Introduction & Background: Each year, Commissioners receive a recommendation from the County Manager on the county’s capital plan (also called capital improvements program or CIP). Staff presented the Recommended FY 2017-2023 plan on November 2. Though not required by law, commissioners have decided to hold a public hearing on the capital improvements program. The document is available online and in each of the county’s libraries and on the county's website at: <http://www.chathamnc.org/modules/showdocument.aspx?documentid=26223>
Budgetary Impact: The CIP will have significant budgetary impact, which will be explained in the document. There is no significant impact to hold the public hearing.
Recommendation: Hold the public hearing.
