Action Requested: Vote on a request to accept $983.19 Food & Lodging Funds from the Department of Public Instruction
Introduction & Background: The Summer Food Service Program is funded by the USDA to provide meals/snacks to economically disadvantaged children during the summer. The NC Department of Non Public Instruction provides a list of approved Summer Feeding Sites to NCDHHS that is forwarded to the local health department for inspection/permitting activities.
Funding is provided to local health departments for any activities related to inspecting/permitting the sites.
Discussion & Analysis: The Chatham County Public Health Department conducted 10 permitting/inspections visits for Summer Feeding Sites around Chatham County during the summer for 2016
Budgetary Impact: No Local Funding Requested.
